Cookie Policy
Small files. Plain reasons.
What Ratdolt stores in your browser, why it is there and how long it remains. Last updated 10 August 2026.
What is active now
Ratdolt does not load advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels. It uses cookie-free Vercel Web Analytics to measure aggregate visits and Vercel Speed Insights to measure real-user performance. Ratdolt removes query strings and fragments from those browser measurements. Server-side OpenTelemetry tracing does not use browser storage. Essential storage may remember your cookie choice, maintain a requested account session and protect the service.
Cookie inventory
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
ratdolt_cookie_consent | Remembers whether you chose essential cookies only or allowed optional use. | Essential preference | 180 days |
sb-…-auth-token | Keeps you signed in after production Supabase authentication is connected. | Essential authentication | Session/provider controlled |
ratdolt-local-demo | Enables the local dummy account during development. It is never set in production. | Development only | 8 hours |
Optional services
Vercel Web Analytics records aggregate page views and technical context such as route, referrer, country, browser and device. Speed Insights records Core Web Vitals and a normalized route. Analytics does not use cookies and discards its short-lived visitor-session identifier after 24 hours. These measurements do not add an optional Ratdolt cookie to the inventory above. Stripe may set essential fraud-prevention and checkout storage when payments are activated; its use will be limited to checkout.
Change your choice
Refusing optional cookies is as easy as accepting them. Changing the choice does not log you out or prevent you from composing a public page.
Browser controls
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser. Blocking essential authentication cookies may sign you out, but public reading and these legal pages remain available.
