Correct, format or remove recovered content
Use editable overlays and the deletion tool while preserving Reader as source truth.
Edit as an overlay
Choose Edit content in the topbar or Edit in Tools. Type directly inside an outlined heading, paragraph or quote; choose Format on a block for treatment, alignment and spacing, or for image width, position, alternative text and caption.
Ratdolt automatically saves each correction separately from the canonical document. Finish stops the editing session and restores focus to Edit; it is not the first save event, and no floating status covers the publication.
- Choose Edit content or Tools → Edit.
- Type inside an outlined text block, or choose Format on a paragraph or image.
- Choose Finish when the private view is ready; reopen the source later to confirm the saved overlay.
Deletion tool
Choose Delete elements in the topbar or Delete items in Tools. Composer outlines every removable recovered block—paragraph, heading, image, list, table, quote, code or rule—and reveals its exact type on hover or keyboard focus. Click it or press Enter/Space; focus advances to the next available target.
Undo last restores the exact most recent block and its deletion focus. Restore all in Reading clears the persistent hidden-block list. Finish or Escape leaves deletion mode and clears only transient Undo; every accepted removal has already saved automatically, so Finish never pretends to be the first persistence event.
For one unwanted word or phrase inside an otherwise useful block, use Edit and remove only that text. This preserves a predictable structural Delete target while still covering word-level cleanup in the same Composer overlay.
- Choose Delete elements or Tools → Delete items.
- Hover or focus an outlined block, then click or press Enter/Space.
- Undo immediately, choose Finish, or use Reading → Restore all later.
