Share links, embeds and collaboration

Choose public, unlisted or invited access without collapsing their authorization boundaries.

01

Links and embeds

Public profiles and collections expose an Embed control on their ordinary public page as well as in their owner settings. It produces one complete, bounded iframe for a website or blog: useful width and height, lazy loading, no referrer and a scriptless sandbox that permits first-party styling plus deliberate target links while the live public profile, collection and file consent gates remain active.

Choose Copy embed code, paste the complete snippet into the destination site and use Preview embed to inspect the exact framed surface. A high-entropy Unlisted collection link remains a different bearer grant: it is deliberately not embeddable, and rotation or disablement invalidates its former path.

  1. Publish the profile, or publish both the profile and the collection whose bookmarks should appear.
  2. Open that public profile or collection and choose Embed; the same control is available from Account or Collection settings.
  3. Choose Copy embed code, paste it into the website or blog and review the framed result. Remove public eligibility when that surface should disappear.

Shared reading pages

Choose Share on a saved article card or its organizer. Ratdolt opens the exact source in Composer Export, where you can create a clean frozen reading page with no owner research, or deliberately include selected highlights and the reading note. Open the new unlisted link, then enter email addresses and choose Viewer or Editor.

Anyone holding the link may read the distraction-free page without seeing the private invitation roster. A confirmed invited account claims its role: a Viewer reads, while an Editor adds only their own attributed highlights and reading note. The source snapshot, owner-selected layer and every other contributor layer remain separate and cannot be rewritten by that invitation.

  1. Open Library and choose Share on the saved article card.
  2. In Composer Export, create the frozen link with or without your own selected research.
  3. Open the link and invite each collaborator by email as Viewer or Editor; remove an invitation to revoke that account layer.

Collection collaborators

A collection invitation is a different private grant with its own owner-only roster. A confirmed Viewer can inspect and save a private unfetched copy; an Editor can also contribute an eligible source, reorder or remove within the collection boundary. Neither role receives the owner's snapshots, highlights, notes, private account data or publication credits.
